Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) Upfront costs still remains the major barrier to large scale solar deployment. Our extensive knowledge of incentives, including grants, rebates, and tax incentives allows us to deliver creative and innovative financial solutions to our clients. We create further value to our customers through our knowledge of legislative policies and financial incentives to support such policies including Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) and feed-in-tariffs, which are derived from state mandated solar set asides. By properly leveraging available cash and tax incentives and reducing inefficiencies and waste , solar power offer excellent return on investment that rival or beat most financial markets. In many cases, simple payback can be achieved in little 4 and 8 years.
SRECs
Solar RECs, (SRECs) are derived from state mandates that require utility companies to meet benchmarked minimum solar energy requirements. Trading SRECs in the correct market is the single most powerful tool a solar system owner can use to increase the income from their solar system. Trading SRECs can increase the mount of income generated by a solar system anywhere from 200-400%.

The process starts by you contacting us or by filling out online site assessment form. Below is a simple overview of the process:
System Screening In order to sell SRECs, your system must first meet minimum equipment and regional requirements. Once minimum qualifications are met, CIC Energy helps identifying short-term and long-term market forecasts for each qualifying markets. SREC Tracking We register your system on PJM-GATS Tracking System. Each region is governed by its own monitoring requirements which CIC Energy helps identify and implement. Monthly SREC Auctions CIC Energy participates in monthly auctions that allow solar system owners to offer SRECs to utility companies in a transparent marketplace. Solar system owners will have the power to see market prices and get maximum value for their SRECs by setting the price. If that price is not met, the SRECs will be held and offered the following month. Long Term Contracts Long-term guaranteed contracts are available, which provide security for system owners that prefer to hedge against market volatility.
